Nature After-school

In our After-school Outdoor Recreational Program, kids get to play in our beloved Fern Gully Forest that is just one block from ORLA off Boulevard and 15th Ave SE.

We play with nature observations and creations, yoga, meditation, mindfulness practices, stories, dance, making music and art. We help children build essential skills to be successful in school and in life. This includes increased awareness, self-expression, confidence, interpersonal and emotional regulation skills.

For elementary aged children after-school 3 - 5pm. Early drop-off & late pick-up options available. Inquire to apply.

In addition to our nature-based activities, such as imaginative play, observation and exploration, plant and animal identification, and storytelling, children also develop friendships and collaboration with team-building games. We build social awareness emotional regulation skills with mindfulness practices, song, dance, art, and of course PLAY!

Kids cultivate courage, compassion, confidence, emotional resilience, kindness, collaborative innovation and problem solving skills.

If your child goes to ORLA we offer pick up services and walk together the short distance to Fern Gully Forest School.
