Community Nature School

We are excited to announce the opening of the Community Nature Center in partnership with Fern Gully Forest School! We are expanding our nature-based outdoor learning programs for more kids to learn through play, inquiry, observation, experimentation and creativity, while cultivating a culture of kindness and developing a love for nature!

We are continuing our Waldorf and Montessori-inspired early-learning programs for ages 3 to 6 Monday - Fridays.

We are expanding to offer programs for more ages, homeschool enrichment classes, and COMING SOON an after-school recreational program! We are in the neighborhood of the Olympic Regional Learning Academy (ORLA) on Boulevard and 15th Ave SE, Olympia, WA.

Join us for outdoor learning adventures at Fern Gully Forest where your child can play and make new friends, learn academics integrated with place-based science and social-emotional awareness. Kids learn how to develop important life skills, communication, and positive connections that will help them excel in school and life!

We are a full nature-immersion program so we will be outside rain or shine building character and emotional resilience; although we do have covered areas to eat, read books, do art and other activities.

We have small groups with a 6:1 child to teacher ratio and a mixed ages approach that fosters compassion, understanding, and leadership skills. We create a nurturing environment where children can develop the resilience, creativity, confidence, social skills and emotional intelligence needed to thrive. The kids enjoy eating out of the school garden, cuddling with small animals, story-time and exploring the forest!

We learn through imaginative play, science experiments, creative projects, nature observations, yoga and mindfulness practices, expressive art, singing, dancing, making music, team building games and more!
