Community Nature School

We are excited to announce the opening of the Community Nature Center at Fern Gully Forest where we are expanding our forest school programs for kids to get outside and play, learn, create, cultivate a culture of kindness and develop a love of nature!

We have Waldorf and Montessori-inspired early-learning programs for children ages 3 to 7 Monday through Fridays. We also offer homeschool enrichment programs, and an after-school recreational program for school aged children. We are in the neighborhood of the Olympic Regional Learning Academy (ORLA) on Boulevard and 15th Ave SE.

Join us for outdoor learning adventures at Fern Gully Forest where your child can play and make new friends, learn academics integrated with place-based science and ecology of the PNW, social skills and emotional awareness, and learn how to develop positive connections with nature and other kids that will help them excel in school and in life!

We have small class sizes with a 6:1 ratio and programs for Pre-K - 5th. We create a nurturing environment where children can develop the resilience, creativity, confidence, social skills and emotional intelligence needed to thrive. The kids enjoy eating out of the school garden, cuddling with small animals, story-time and exploring the forest!

We learn through imaginative play, science experiments, creative projects, nature observations, yoga and mindfulness practices, expressive art, singing, dancing, making music, team building games and more!
